My "doula bag" is actually a backpack.
I carry alot of things that can be used to help ease labor discomfort. But it usually comes down to my hands or my roller massage ball.
•Honey sticks (quick energy for mother)
•New chapstick for mom (lips can get so chapped from the deep breaths during contractions)
•Roller massage ball - this is the best purchase I have made for my Doula bag. It's a massage ball that has grips for your hand so you can get deep in the muscles but still glide with ease
•Massage oil with moms preferred scent (lavender, citrus, mint, lemongrass)
•Client paperwork - medical history, birth plan, coping preferences
•Extra clothes, phone charger and snacks for myself
Extra items depending on services
•Birth ball (if client or birth place doesn't have one)
What is the best thing you have used during labor to help relieve discomfort?
